We need your help to raise funds for our annual salsa competition

A short summary of your project

Reading University Ballroom, Latin and Salsa Society are crowdfunding for our annual Salsa competition, Salsa Fiesta. We have had to find a new venue from our previous years and need your help to fund this.

Meet our committee

This project comes from the RUBLS committee - President Tobias Lane, Team Captain Jodie Kenvin, Salsa Rep Amber Martin, Secretary Danica Lobo, Social Sec Victoria White and Treasurer Alicia O'Donnell. We all hope to get your support in this project and are happy to answer any questions you have about the project, Alicia is managing this project so feel free to contact her first for any additional info.

Our aim

RUBLS was the first university in the UK to host a salsa competition, we are now in our 7th year of Salsa Fiesta and each year we have gotten bigger and better. It is our biggest event of the year and last year we were awarded Event of the Year at the Student Unions Society Awards. All of our members look forward to Salsa Fiesta as it is an incredible day of salsa including our afternoon events of blindfold salsa and 3-way salsa. We love hosting so many different universities who share the same love of salsa and the best part of the day is always the social dancing at the end of the competition that gives everyone a chance to get to know each other. By crowdfunding, RUBLS is aiming to raise money to cover the costs of our venue for the day.

Take a look for yourself

We film our competition every year and would love for you to take a look at the previous years of Salsa Fiesta:
