What's your film about?
The plot of our short film follows two aliens, a quick-tempered Stultus who’s the head human researcher, and his enthusiastic, hyperactive assistant Foedus. The two aliens have been based on earth for a couple of years somewhere in the country known as the United Kingdom. After receiving intel from their boss about the terrifying state their home planet is in and the threat it poses to their loved ones, they quickly strategise how to save their dying world, they are the last hope.
While Stultus and Foedus are apparent “experts” in the cultures of earth, their plans are continuously foiled by one ridiculous thing after another. With a wretched security guard further aiding their plans downfall, their time running out and their own lack of a human common sense, will they be able to succeed?
inspirations
Our inspiration comes from a bunch of films such as 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Antman' for their interesting style of storytelling as well as 'Krong is definitely an alien' for the style of the alien. We want to merge two genres in a fresh new way.

Where will the money go?
All donations are hugely appreciated and will go towards the production of our short film. We would love for you to be part of our journey in helping us to create Alien Heist.
We are aiming to raise £870, here is our current target budget breakdown:
- Venue hire: £200
- Equipment hire : £350
- Travel (van hire & petrol): £200
- Production (props, costume & set dressing): £90
- Cast and crew catering: £30
If we raise any extra funds above our target, this money will be used by the University of Reading Film Theatre and Television department to help promote our film and other films made by our fellow students.
