Uni of Reading's first ever women's cricket team is a success- we need your help to keep it going!

our project

We're raising money to keep the University of Reading first ever women's cricket team up and running! We've won our first two games and we need access to facilities and resources to keep the team together.

our story

Cricket is one of the fastest growing women's sports in the world, and Reading are a part of it for the first time. Because the team is so new, we don't have any funding from the Uni or the student's union, like other sports do. So far we have funded training with our own membership money, but now we need your help to keep training and playing all year. Across the country, fewer women participate in sport than men do, and your support can help us change that.

Our athletes are extremely excited to be part of the first women's cricket team at the University and you can help us make the most of this opportunity.

Where will the money go?

The money we raise will allow us to continue our weekly training sessions in Spring term, and hopefully enter the BUCS (British Universities and College Sport) women's cricket league, continuing our winning streak to bring some glory to Reading.

Costs:

Hall hire for Spring term (one hour a week): £290

Minibus hire for one game: £60

rewards

We have some VERY exciting rewards to check out... have you ever wanted to throw a wet sponge at someone?
