Our final exhibition!
The final year students at Reading School of Art are fundraising for our final exhibition! Each year, the finalist exhibition is a celebration of the hard work and passion that we have put into our degrees over the past 3-4 years. Captivating, immersive, and an all-around fun time, the finalist shows we have witnessed in previous years have inspired our practices and displayed the limitless potential of our own work. We hope with our degree show to continue this legacy of inspiring young artists in Reading and beyond to innovate and find confidence within their artistic practices.
Our Degree Show is taking place on 30th May 2025, and we are more than excited for you to come along and celebrate with us!
Why donate?
Given the current cuts to funding within the arts, our finalist exhibition has become more important now than ever. We hope that our show will demonstrate the essential nature of the arts, and will be a joyful display of the next generation of young artists in the UK.
Your money will help us take our show to the next level, giving us a confident stepping stone into the art world. Your donations will help us showcase a professional and polished exhibition to future gallerists, curators, and collaborators, helping us make the leap into a career in the arts.
Where will the money go?
Your donations will help us to fund our exhibition publication- a catalogue that professionally documents the work we have created, helping us demonstrate our practice and help us obtain further opportunities after our degree. The budget for our publication is dependent on how much we can raise; more money raised means higher-quality paper and prints, giving us a documentation that will truly reflect the effort and care we have put into our work.
The money you donate will also help us to fund beverages, which we will give out for free at the show! This has been a tradition at Degree Shows in past years, and allows for a warm, social environment that draws the University together through the arts.
We are also excited to present entertainment- such as live music- at the show, which will enhance the exhibition and make it a true celebration for us all to enjoy! Your donations will mean we can support local musicians and celebrate the arts/culture scene in Reading.
