Accessibility: inside the disability spectrum
A documentary where we look at the impacts of negative stereotypes and beliefs amongst autistic people, specifically on younger people looking to get into work. This project will be used to highlight the difficulties of getting into work as an autistic person and to find out exactly what struggles people have to deal with while trying to get employed.
We are doing an interview-based documentary where we will speak one one-on-one with autistic people to learn about their struggles and what they think can help improve the employment process, to benefit those with disabilities.
This documentary is designed to be educational, we want to highlight the importance of making employment more accessible so that getting a job or getting into a career is fair for every individual with or without a disability.

Where will the money go?
Our target amount is £250, which is the minimum we expect to need to cover our project. All donations will be gratefully received and will help us pay towards...
- £100 - £150 will contribute to the travel to and from our filming locations, depending on how far our cast and crew need to travel.
- £100 will also allow us to offer food to our actors as well as our crew members! We have budgeted around £100 for food as we won't need to film over many days so we can feed everyone a decent amount without having to spend too much
- If we raise any extra funds above our target, this money will be used by the University of Reading Film Theatre and Television department to help promote our film and other films made by our fellow students.
